Do you get time to read?

Did you enjoy reading novels or non fiction before having kids? Do you have time to continue this interest now with kids, home and other responsibilites? Or are you so pressed for time that a newspaper or magazine article is all you can fit in?

No chance. I used to be an avid reader, but until my children are older and sleeping through the night (I have bad sleepers) I don't have time. Haven't read a book in years, unfortunately.

I always read novels before I had my son. Now I make sure I take some ME time after he goes to bed and have a nice hot bath and get some reading in!

I didn't read outside of school & homework! I worked a few jobs & many hours, so I had no time. Throw in my bf, friends, baseball & partying... there was no time! Once I became pregnant, that's when reading became important to me! Once my lil guy came into the picture... reading was a priority! Forward 20+ years & my son is an adult, my health is down the tubes & I cannot work. I have time (plenty of time), to read!

I was a voracious reader before my son was born. I don't have the same amount of time now but I do still read before bedtime...if I'm not completely wiped

I do a lot of reading at work. By the time I get home I am pretty much cross eyed. My children are a little bit older now but when they were young I was way behind on my reading. I know it may be a little cliche but I am a proud member of Oprahs book club.

I used to read a couple of books a week before kids. Now, I am lucky to get through a magazine. Although, I recently joined a Mom's bookclub where we read Parenting books and this has sort of "forced" the issue of reading for me. I now have a drop-dead date by when I have to read a particular book! :o)
